WARNING: #1 Lesson on Becoming a Man

by knowledge on November 25, 2008

I consider myself a well-read individual with a peculiar sense of humor. I consider myself the type of person that can take criticism and feedback (yes ladies, even the bad) and use it to improve myself.

In the past several years I have read a lot of books, listened to a lot of audio, and seen a ton of video on self improvement and development.

The single greatest lesson that resonated with me is the following:
I am a man. I will do man things(both good and bad).

MAKE NO APOLOGIES FOR BEING A MAN.

The younger version of myself would apologize for everything that seemed like I was a typical male. I am still a guy that will do guy things.

I assumed that women wanted me to be gentle and caring. Soft and compassionate. Which of course they do.

I am not promoting being jerks by any means. Guys, if you find yourself being a jerk- do apologize.

Apologize for making mistakes.

But don’t make apologies for being a man.
